Keep your horses safe and your pasture secure

Built Around the Way Horses Actually Behave

Vermont & New Hampshire Horse & Equestrian Fencing

Horses are powerful, curious, and quick to spook, and a fence that works for cattle or goats isn’t always right for them. Round Hill Fence builds horse and equestrian fencing that is visible, strong, and safe, so your animals stay where they belong without risking injury. Whether you’re fencing a backyard paddock, an equestrian riding arena, or a hundred-acre pasture, we’ll design a system that fits your horses, your land, and your budget.

What We Consider on Every Horse Fence

Every property and every herd is different. Before we build, we look at:

  • Height: tall enough to discourage jumping and leaning, based on your horses and how they use the space
  • Visibility: solid rails or a top rail help horses see and respect the fence, especially at dusk
  • Spacing: rail and mesh openings sized so legs and hooves don’t get trapped
  • Hardware and finish: smooth surfaces and a flush finish with no sharp edges or protruding hardware
  • Posts and footing: set to the right depth for your soil and frost line
  • Gates and access: wide enough for trailers and equipment, with latches horses can’t work open
  • Layout: rounded corners and smart paddock design to prevent horses from getting cornered

Not Sure Where to Start?

Matching the Fence to Your Farm

A hobby barn with two horses has different needs than a boarding stable or a breeding operation. We’ll walk the property with you, talk through how your horses use the space, and recommend the right materials for your budget. We can also pair fence types, such as vinyl or wood along the road for appearance and woven wire in back pastures for cost and security.
